The Milano Gazette, Saturday, June 22, 1918: "Primary Election July 27, 1918. O. P. Lagrone of Milano is a candidate for County Commissioner of Precinct No. 3 and solicits the influence and support of the voters."
The Milano Gazette, Saturday, December 18, 1920: "Captured 32 Opossums In Making Two Hunts. Mr. O. P. Lagrone, his sons and five dogs rounded up 20 opossums last week, and the week before they caught an even dozen. That's 32 ‘possums in two weeks' time. He left one of them at the Gazette office the other day for which he has our thanks. Some folks won't eat the greasy things, but when they are baked brown with plenty of yellow potatoes they taste mighty fine. Mr. Lagrone says there seems to be no end to the amount of ‘possums in the Summit woods and his dogs are busy locating them every day. They make every hunt a success."
