Madison "Matt" Walker was born in Georgia on March 16, 1852, the son of James E. Walker and Nancy Adams Walker. He married Emma Triphenia Aycock in Milam County, Texas on December 10, 1879. Matt died at Gause, Milam County, Texas on March 4, 1926. He is buried at Pin Oak Cemetery (located in Milam County, Texas between Gause and Hanover).
